Streszczenie
Wprowadzenie.
Materiał i metody. Do badań użyto materiału kompozytowego Enamel Plus HRi/Micerium® w kolorze szkliwnym (UE2) oraz zębinowym (UD2). Próbki do badań wytrzymałościowych, w formie walców o średnicy 5 mm i wysokości 3 mm, przygotowano polimeryzując materiał światłem diodowej lampy polimeryzacyjnej (Elipar FreeLight® 2/3M ESPE) w specjalnej formie z masy silikonowej (Aquasil Ultra Monophase). Z każdego z materiałów kompozytowych wykonano 3 serie, po 10 próbek w każdej, polimeryzowanych w temperaturze: a) pokojowej (grupa porównawcza), b) 39oC, c) 50oC. Łącznie wykonano 60 próbek. Do uzyskania odpowiedniej temperatury materiał kompozytowy przed polimeryzacją ogrzewano w specjalnym urządzeniu Ena–Heat/Micerium. Wytrzymałość próbek kompozytów badano w urządzeniu do badań wytrzymałościowych Zwick-Roell Z005/Zwick-Roell, wykorzystując test średnicowej wytrzymałości na rozciąganie – DTS (Diametral Tensile Strengths).
Abstract
Background. Dental composites are used widely, mostly for direct restorations of dental hard tissues. Clinical success of composite restorations is based on proper polymerization, because mechanical durability depends on resin conversion degree. Leveling the polymerization temperature of dental composite should increase both resin conversion degree and material durability.
Objectives. The aim of this research was to examine if the increase in light-cure dental composites temperature leads to the increase in material durability.
Material and Methods. Samples were made of Enamel Plus HRi/Micerium® dental composites, using enamel (UE2) and dentine (UD2) material. Roller-shaped samples of 5 mm diameter and 3 mm high, were prepared in silicone matrix polymerized with diode lamp (Elipar FreeLight® 2/3M ESPE). Three series of 10 samples of each material were made, 60 samples in overall. Series corresponded to polymerization temperature: a) room temperature (test group), b) 39oC, c) 50oC. To acquire the necessary temperature, dental composites were placed in Ena Heat/Micerium heating device. Material durability was estimated in DTS test (Diametral Tensile Strengths) with use of Zwick-Roell Z005/Zwick-Roell device. Transverse bar movement velocity accounted for 2 mm/min.
Results. Durability of dentine material was significantly higher in comparison to enamel material. Both enamel and dentine material samples heated to 50oC showed significantly higher durability in comparison to samples heated to 39oC. The research indicated the lowest durability of samples in control group.
